Augmented Reality

The New Philadelphia Association worked with game designer and professor Jon Amakawa of Fitchburg State University to develop augmented reality, AR, for the site. AR plays recorded animations over the actual landscape you are seeing. QR codes at New Philadelphia launch the animations one at a time.  This can help visitors go deeper into the story of New Philadelphia.

First, get the phone/tablet app from Apple or Google using one of the buttons below.  Then open the app, point your device at one of the QR codes on our walking trail signs, and learn and enjoy.
